I am a NZAC Registered Provisional Counsellor with a Master’s Degree in Counselling (MCouns, 2025). My background is in adult and vocational education, organisational and strategic development. I am also a yoga teacher, business owner and mum of two adult children. Originally from England, Aotearoa is my chosen, forever home.
As a pluralist counsellor, my focus is on what matters most to you. Together, we explore your experiences, relationships and life events to identify patterns and ways of being that may no longer serve you. From there, we work towards meaningful, lasting change that supports your preferred future.
Our work might involve noticing what is happening in your body and mind in the present moment, exploring your thoughts and feelings, or experimenting with practical activities in everyday life. Counselling provides a space to practise new ways of being, notice what works for you, and reflect on your progress.
I draw on person-centred therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed practice, present-moment awareness and mindfulness. As a yoga teacher, I understand how our physical and mental systems respond to stress and how they can return to a state of rest. Body awareness and breathwork can support regulation, restore a sense of safety, build resilience and help process trauma carefully.
As a neurodivergent person (ADHD), I also offer neuro-affirming counselling. This can help you better understand your unique way of being in the world, identify what you need to thrive, and explore practical accommodations that support everyday life.
Whether you know what you want to change, or simply know that something isn’t right but aren’t sure what it is, asking for help is a great place to start.
